Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept my insurance?
We currently accept BC/BS CAREFIRST, UNITED HEALTH, CIGNA,  MAGELLAN, AETNA, and MEDICARE.   We can assist your insurance claim if you have other PPO insurance plans.
CAN I PAY out of pocket for services?
Yes.   Call us to find out what we have available for you.   
We accept Cash (only in person) and all major credit cards and HSA cards are accepted for payment. 
Does my insurance cover for my mental health? 
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?
WHAT Should I bring to my first appointment?
Prior to your first appointment after your insurance coverage has been authorized, please provide:
1.  a copy of your health insurance card(s) (front and back).   
2. a copy of a legal government issued picture ID (License or ID card).
3. a list of all your medications, supplements, and vitamins that you take.
4. a copy of prior assessments done by physician, psychiatric providers, schools, and etc. 
How long is my first appointment?
Your first appointment which is the diagnostic evaluation, is a 60 minute session.   After this, your follow up appointments will be 15-20 minutes.  
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
Do you offer video appointment
Yes. All appointments are conducted through secure video sessions, allowing you to receive care from the comfort of your home.
Is telehealth secure and confidential?
Yes. We use HIPAA compliant platforms to ensure your information is private, secure, and protected at all times.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Schedule your appointment through our secure patient portal. Once scheduled, you will receive instructions to access your session.
